OUR STORY
Est. 1881
Six Generations
Our roots in Colorado agriculture go back to 1881 and six generations. Our ancestors Homesteaded an amazing property with views of Pikes Peak to Wyoming and as growth continued in Denver the ranch started to have amazing views of the Downtown Denver skyline. Our linage is deeply rooted in agriculture our ancestors’ started operations with a dairy farm, they raised beef cattle and grew rotational dry land farm crops. Throughout the years they continued to purchase ranches around Colorado and for 140 years and six generations our family continued living their American Dream.

In 2021 the urban sprawl had continued and was not going to stop anytime soon. We said goodbye to the Homestead, but we are excited to see the continued development of the 1881 Park and what it will bring to the surrounding community.

In 2021 we started our new beginning in Yampa, Colorado just outside of Steamboat Springs. Carl Windler’s dream was to continue our family legacy so that future generations of the Windler family would have the opportunity to continue to learn our western lifestyle and heritage.
Our family looks forward to continuing our legacy and heritage for the future generations to come.

The Windler Ranch
The Windler Ranch is a six generation family owned ranching and farming operation. We are a natural and honest program. We stand behind our animals and our mountain grass hay. We believe if we take care of the land and animals they will take care of us.

"This lifestyle isn't just about the animals. It's about beliefs and values passed down through generations. Ensuring things are left better for those yet to come. It's about the legacy."
